How do I overcome the fear of approaching women

How do I overcome the fear of approaching women in social settings? Me and my girlfriend broke up about seven months ago and now that I'm back in the single life I remember how difficult it is. I miss fucking lol. I've been on several dates and only gotten laid once in the past six months since the break up I've been to three girls houses laid up in their beds, but I never gained the courage to make a move on them, afraid to mess up the moment, looking back at it I regret it because none of those girls that I was laid up with ever transpired into anything serious. being single
Is lonely. I don't necessarily mind it, but I'm trying to regain my confidence back up. I've seen several girls in my local gym that I am attracted to, but I've yet to approach any of them. Matter of fact, every woman I've ever gone on dates with or dated all have been set up through the phone. I've never cold approached or made a genuine connection with a woman face-to-face ever in my life. I'm 20 years old.

Side note I’ve been in 2 serious relationships in my life. One was in Highschool that lasted 3 years, and the other was after Highschool and that lasted 8 months.
