For those who’ve worked at Best Buy for a while (especially leadership or former employees):

What are the common signs that a store might be on track to close in the next few years?

I’m not asking about any specific location just trying to understand how it usually works from a corporate perspective.

Things I’m curious about:
Do role eliminations or restructuring at smaller stores mean anything long-term?

How much does store size / “micro store” format impact longevity?

What metrics matter most when corporate evaluates whether to keep a store open?

Do they usually wait for leases to expire, or will they close early if performance is bad enough?

Also, for anyone who’s been through a store closing what did the last couple of years look like leading up to it?

Just trying to get a better understanding of how these decisions are made.
