I was a big fan of the humor in Project Hail Mary and want to read more sci-fi. I also love the weird horror/comedy/sci-fi that is the Welcome to Night Vale book/podcast. I would love to find more sci fi books with weird premises that are also really funny. I'm open to all sub genres of sci-fi. Bonus points if it's a standalone book.
I'm new to roller skating and just got my skates. I don't have a lot of hard floor in my house so I'm looking to create a small area I can practice skating exercises on. I do have a ballet bar in a carpeted room, so I'm thinking some kind of flat surface beside it might be good so I have something I hold on to. I know that skating floor pieces exist and so do office chair mats, but I'm not sure how well those would do over carpet. Any suggestions?
