Hindutva and its geneology
Recently I've come across a clip from the KLF where K surendran was bashing communism and its ideological intent, stating that it has led to the deaths of millions. Which got me thinking about the creation, evolution and bloom of hindutva.
As far as I can understand, B S Moonje, Hedgewar, Golwalkar and Savarkar were critical in providing it's ideological base rooted in hindu nationalism and supremacy. Aside from Hedgewar, all others were very vocal in their admiration for Fascist ideology.
Moonje inspired Hedgewar to build the paramilitary force of RSS and he has described that his inspiration was from his travels to Italy and studying the "Balilla"- the fascist youth wing of Benito's army.
Golwalkar and Savarkar on the other hand were very inspired and also appreciated Hitler's purge of jews and demanded that something similar be carried out in India.
So why isn't something inspired from nazism and fascism - 2 ideologies universally condemned by the masses - not being condemned much in India. Not even left spaces bring up their evil upbringing and tendencies that are harmful to minorities across the nation.
