I've been very undecided for a while on what colour scheme to use for my Tyranids, so I thought I'd experiment on my termagants until I find one I like. Problem is I will be happy with a scheme for a day or two and then want to do it completely differently.
I started off just trying out typhon which i liked but i wanted more purple. I tried to put the pictures vaguely in the order that I painted them so you can see the progression. Most arent fully finished because I tend to jump to the next thing when I get a new idea.
I definately want black chitin, lighter skin, yellow eyes and then purple somewhere. I still flip flop on certain details though, like including blue or the arm gradients. Tried entering my preferences into an AI software that generated the image at the end which I quite liked, but when I tried painting it on a gaunt I wasnt as much of a fan (the very last termagant on page 4).
Any thoughts are welcome, I just need help breaking the indicision.
