Diagnosed at age 26 three months ago. Getting diagnosed probably was the best weight off my shoulders, as I kinda felt something wasn't completely right up there, but I always pushed it to the back of my mind and told myself I was just being soft. I'm just on basic 10 MG Adderall, and it works well.
The changes have been so small, but the small changes have led me to some bigger changes in my life. Just showing up for the small things like making my bed, feeding my dog early, meal-prepping, and working out are all things I did before I was diagnosed but I just do it more consistently now.
One big change getting medicated did was help me hold down a job. I have the easiest job I've ever had, and I felt like I was about to blow it again before getting diagnosed, and now work is a lot easier to get through and manage. One big thing I was worried about was becoming a zombie while on my medication, but I haven't had to worry about that at all, the whole time I've been medicated.
The last big change has been in the way I learn and my schoolwork. It's been so much easier to manage my school work. I don't procrastinate all day on my assignments anymore. I just sit down and do them! Nobody to really talk to about this so i thought to share about how well things are going. I'm hoping for more progress on my end to be made by the end of the year.
