Hi pals! Last summer, I DIY'd this lattice in my backyard to act as a private "fence" from our neighbors. It's beautiful but you can surely tell it was my first DIY of this sort. All 4 posts are concreted about 3 feet down into the ground. Posts are just over 11ft feet apart from one another. Each side has 3 pieces of lattice, joined where they overlap with wood glue and finishing nails on the posts. Across the top, I wanted to add a 2x2 all the way across to have something else to anchor the lattice to. I could not find 12ft long 2x2s so ended up using 1 2x2x8 and bracketing it to another one that I cut to the exact length I needed. Obviously, it didn't quite make it through all of the winter storms we had and the wind recently has all but snapped them completely. Also, the finishing nails are coming out of the posts. Anything bigger and it splits the lattice.

How would you go about fixing this? Is there any saving it? I thought about adding a middle post on each side but now i'm not sure if that would even help because of the failing finishing nails.

TIA for the advice!
