I’m making this post because I’m planning to come to Canada on a working holiday visa and I’m really interested in moving to Whitehorse.
I’m 25, from France, and I speak English well. I was wondering how the job market is there, especially for construction jobs.
Ideally, I’d like to work as a labourer. I have a background in sales and IT, but I’m looking to switch to outdoor, hands-on work. I’ve worked on a farm before, operating tractors and a telehandler, and I’m comfortable with physical work.
I also wanted to ask what the best time of year is to arrive in Whitehorse to find a job. And how is the construction sector during the winter? Is it still possible to find work?
I still have a lot of questions, but these are the main ones for now.
