Lvl 1: Day 6, it's done.

It took less time than I thought, but I didn't mess around with any side stuff, did all the standing stone things as soon as I had the first word of the bend will shout.

Took all the dragon bones, all Miraak's stuff and had no skill points to reset, so just left.

I will try film the levelling up! and upload it when it's done. Will also try to show you how much money has come from Goldenhills farm (yet to take any profits from it since before the challenge).

Don't worry, after the video, the spam will be over. 😂

It's been very fun and thanks to every who gave tips and suggestions, and any of the few people who might have taken an interest in this little series of posts.

Been fun!

Lvl 1: Day 6, This guy.

I've always hated how you can't skip through daedric conversations, but it's especially infuriating with Hermaeus Mora because of *how* he talks.

Having a great time. Died a lot today, even to dwemer spiders, but it's still fun.

I now just have to ask the Skaal for their secrets then I've got all three bend will words of power. Issue then is that I don't have any dragon souls (should've thought about this before starting the DLC honestly) so I'm going to have to kill some dragons too.

It's been so fun so far, I think I'll finish after dragonborn and then think of another to do after.

Lvl 1: Day 6.

I've got the Lord and atronach stone with the aetherium crown, so magic resistance is pretty high now.

I'm going to do Dragonborn DLC instead of the guild quests as it's going to take an age and a half and give me a ton of problems. I may do the guilds afterwards, but I am interested to see how the levels go!

Wish me luck. 👍

Lvl 1: Day 5, A little break

I'm spending some time doing the atherium quest to get the crown - great suggestions from people about getting the atronach and lord stones, and the crown will allow me to do both.

I'm also going to do the guild quests before the Dragonborn DLC, as some others have suggested, it'll also help gain some gear before having to face solstheim. 😬

But I recognise there are some people who see this stuff, who just aren't interested, hate the spam - which is understandable and I apologise, or who just think it's straight boring to see this challenge. All things that are completely fair and understandable.

Being clear - it's a challenge for me, I've played the game since 2011 and never done this kind of thing, I know it's not on legendary difficulty and I do think of upping the difficulty, as to make it even more challenging, but either way I'm having fun.

Also, to maybe be a little too real, I've not been having a great time for a while, but doing these and seeing even a few people take interest, get involved with suggestions and tips, has really picked me up a bit and made things feel a little less down.

Even so, I do get that it's not for everyone and I have worried about spamming- I don't want to get banned from the sub or something for it, so I'm going to move/crosspost my existing stuff to a more personalised subreddit and then share or crosspost any updates to the elderscrolls page or possibly here when possible (I know it doesn't allow cross posting, but that's easy to work around).

Thanks to anyone who's followed this, unimportant, unimpressive, but still fun little series of posts so far. I'll set everything up and do a post of where to go to find the rest soon.

And for all the times you've done for me,

Wishing you all luck.👍

LVL 1: DAY 4, MAIN QUEST LINE COMPLETE!!

I've done it. Lots of soup, resist fire and health potions. I'll soon be onto doing the Dragonborn DLC, however I may take a short break. Perhaps start tomorrow, do some housekeeping before continuing.

I may also go to the atronach forge as many of you have suggested - I've never used it before and I'm not sure how or where it is exactly.

I will let you guys know if I need any help although the few times I've been there, there has been a book of instructions(?) and all else.

MAIN QUESTLINE DONE!

Lvl 1: day 4, about to head to skuldafn.

Got almost 20 vegetable soups, going to do a run of the cities, get all the health potions possible.

Odahving is trapped, currently being bothered by Farengar.

IT'S GETTING CLOSE!!

And now I've got drunahviir to help out in Skuldafn, although I have found him to be a little useless against other dragons.

Lvl 1: day 4, quick realisation.

I realised, after I'd unlocked dragon souls - I hadn't unlocked the duurnahviir shout!

Meaning I haven't unlocked Soul tear shout!

I'm not summoning durnahviir and I'm going to get a few dragons done so that I can unlock soul tear. It's gonna be very useful.

I know it's not "meant" to be used in the main questline (if you get me), but I need and want all the help I can get.

Might go a step further for the drain vitality shout.

Lvl 1: Alduins Bane.

It's time.

Alduin's bane. First step to skuldafn, then sovngard. (spelling?)

I've got a bunch of stuff including just a ton of blue mountain flowers for health. Still got loads of soup left too.

I'm going to need as much as possible. If it doesn't go well, I may need some suggestions of where to get some stronger weapons, anywhere that has items with good enchantments on them, anything that could otherwise help - like potion recipes.

Wish me luck 👍

Lvl 1: I'm getting close.

Well, it's getting closer and closer to Skuldafn and then on to Alduin.

Not too long before I do the dragonborn DLC.

I also mentioned that I was on novice difficulty, I was mistaken, I'm on apprentice difficulty. Not much difference, it's still been a good challenge, but it's a little more than I thought.

Not to get ahead of myself - but should I carry on as level one and do all the guilds?

Thalmor Embassy done. Lvl 1: day 3.

THE SOUP IS A LIFE SAVER!!

I somehow forgot to give *ANY* healing potions to Malborn, so I relied on food. The soups are the tits! So good, I don't know how I never knew about this until today.

luckily there was also quite a lot of seared slaughter fish, baked potatoes, grilled leeks and bread (so much bread) laying around the embassy, so I was actually fairly sorted.

The frost troll may have been the hardest part - but all together, I thought this was going to be a lot harder. Only a few deaths.

Now staring at a stone of Barenziah, wondering if I should pick it up or save it for later... It doesn't weigh anything, sure, but can I be arsed?

Thank you, everyone who told me about the vegetable soup, you're a bunch of game savers. Also saved me a lot of frustration. 😂

Level 1: day 3, Thalmor embassy.

Thank you to everyone who recommended making the soups!

I've never made food in Slyrim before, but I've planted some leeks, potatoes and cabbages to be able to make more of these soups when I'm done at the embassy.

Bought ALL the health potions I could, so hopefully that and the soups will get me through this solo.

I did try to enter the college of winterhold earlier, can't remember why - but I haven't got enough Magicka to summon a flame atronach, so that's going to be off limits until the end of the game 😂.

I'll do a couple updates today if the Thalmor Embassy mission goes well, although I have a feeling that there's going to be a lot quicksaves, kiting and last moment healing.

Wish me luck! 👍

EDIT - I've made a sub for the challenge as I don't want to annoy people with constant posts.

Will still put a daily update on here, but more minor stuff will be put on it's own page. I can't cross post either, so it won't be doubled up probably.

I may also try to find a way to make little short video parts to post as well.

Level 1: Dawngaurd DLC complete

I did it.

Lots of quick saves and deaths. Lots of running and searching for as many health potions as possible.

OG questline up next.

u/Allthumbs21 — 4 days ago

Level 1

Doing a challenge for myself.

I'm trying to do all three stories. Dawngaurd, OG story, then Dragonborn, at level 1.

As you can see, I've made it to the soul cairn.

It's been challenging asf. No extra perks, no levelling up means no increase in carry weight/stamina, magicka or health.

I've not started the main questline, so no dragon souls for shouts either.

I'm using the red eagles fury sword and have managed to buy full dawngaurd heavy armour (thanks to the farming mod).

I won't level up until I've defeated all three. The DLC and the main story.

I have set it to novice, as getting this far is still a struggle and a half.

I'd like to almost make it a sort of "series" to update this r/ on, but it's going to take me a while. However I will continue posting my progress regardless of interest.

currently in the soul cairn, lots of deaths and reloads so far, let's see how far we get.

I have been using two handed weapons so far, but from entering the soul cairn, I may start doing sword and shield.

If you're wondering how I started dawngaurd before level 10, I fast travelled to riften and just walked to dayspring canyon. You can just start from there.

Wish me luck. 🤞
