I had some clementines on the brink that I knew I wasn’t going to eat, so I set them out two days ago randomly. Lo and behold it attracted my first ever Baltimore Oriole! I’m in Western PA and this is my first time seeing one in real life in all my 47 years. Then I got sad because I got into birding after my dad, also a birder, died 2 years ago and I can’t ask him if he ever got to see one.
Enjoy your birds and engage the elders in your life who’ve been birding longer than you ☺️
