Nonfiction (including memoir) about cults, conspiracies or religion?
I'm not equating cults or conspiracies with religion!! But I am interested in complex nonfiction stories of people seeking power, control over others, or a higher purpose.
Some books that I've read recently that I think fit the bill & have enjoyed:
- Circle of Hope by Eliza Griswold
- A Well-Trained Wife by Tia Levings
- The Quiet Damage by Jesselyn Cook
- A Fever in the Heartland by Timothy Egan
Thanks in advance!
