Besides the obvious places QR codes don't belong:

  • Freeway and highway billboards
  • High-speed arterial roads
  • Anywhere average dwell time is under 5 seconds

Where else are you still spotting them in places they have no business being?

Also, a QR code on a billboard is almost always a client request. As a media buyer or supplier, would you actually recommend it? Or is it one of those things you execute without pushing back because the client insists?
