So I [F21] have been writing with the same characters and world casually for a decade. I've been developing it endlessly, possibly over-developing, and there's so many threads to follow now. At least once a year I tear it all down to piece it back together with new or changed elements but no matter what I do it feels like the foundation is out together wrong and I'm too attached to it after such a long time to change those base elements.
I've tried looking at it from other characters perspectives, writing completely different projects (which all feel soooo thin in comparison), and all sorts of other random solutions.
I'd like to know, how do you all deal with a plot clusterfuck? Any suggestions on how to untangle it, or is it better to start on something new now I've developed some more as a writer?
