Officially in the third trimester and my husband and I are at a stand still with naming our final child.

My husband’s is named Andrew. And I absolutely love the name Andrés.

My husband thinks that naming our son Andrés is “giving him my name.” My husband is not hispanic and does not speak Spanish. He is hung up on Andrew translating to Andrés, despite no in his life calling him that.

I will note that our other children have international/culturally ambiguous names and our bilingual (English, Spanish). I like that Andrés will follow that trend.

Is Andrés really too close to Andrew? Thoughts? Or alternative name suggestions?
