Is this a work by artist Ron Snapp?
Purchased via FB marketplace in Ottawa, Canada 🇨🇦. Back is signed and piece is named Palette #43. Apparently was given in lieu of payment to a divorce attorney. We love it and wonder how to authenticate it, or if we should bother.
Ron Snapp was affiliated with Cube Gallery in Ottawa, ON Canada for a period of time in the past. It's 5ftx5ft, mixed medium painting in the shape of a palette with various artists tools, paint tubes, paint can lids, etc glued onto the canvas. He was an artist and art teacher and has 1 piece in our National Art Gallery which is sculptural. I did see a news clipping about a piece he did for Ukrainian children after the war. It gives me similar vibes.
