I had a friend install an aftermarket and completely different headlight than the other about 3 months ago into my 2018 escape. I didn’t realize they had different bulbs and led stuff….
About two weeks ago, the car wouldn’t start immediately after I did a big move and cleaned the car out (left doors opened radio on without engine) which I figured had caused it to die but it’s now seen three mechanics for an intermittent no start issue. It does start after sitting be for a day or so but most of time will not start without being messed around with.
Code reads issue with communication ICM to BCM.
My one intelligent car savvy friend is now mentioning that my headlights being totally different could be causing the issue. How do we go about unplugging them ?
