Hey, I'm 21 years old and I'm currently studying the Network Engineering degree program at WGU. I've interned in IT related fields. More specifically positions in QA/Software testing, manually with a little bit of Power Automate and Python automation and IT infrastructure. Recently I've been working in more telecom related roles. I had a short period working on cell towers installing network equipment but the company wasn't a good fit. Now I work for a telecommunications contractor working in fiber line utility. I'm a groundhand currently, but I'm learning how to climb and learn linework. I hear there is good money to made in this industry but I'm not exactly sure which industry is more secure and has better pay.
If you have worked in any of the related fields i'd really appreciate your input. thanks.
