The Fivefold Path
1: The Form of Earth: The Immovable Myō-ō
Stance: Kiba-dachi (Horse Stance). Low center of gravity, feet rooted wide.
Hand Sign: Prithvi Mudra(Mudra of stability and earth).
Gravitational Anchor: Instead of throwing rocks, the user’s Cursed Energy increases their "existence weight." They become an immovable object. Any physical blow that strikes the user is redirected into the ground beneath them, shattering the floor instead of the user’s ribs. It is the ultimate defense through absolute stillness.
Main weakness: Because the user is anchoring themselves to the Earth, they cannot move their feet. If a foe uses a technique that alters the terrain (like crumbling the floor) or forces the user into the air, the connection is severed instantly. While active, the user is a sitting duck for long-range, multi-directional barrages that eventually overcome the redirection limit of the ground.
2. The Form of Water: The Mirror of Benzaiten
Stance: Kokutsu-dachi (Back Stance). Weight on the rear leg, fluid and ready to retreat or flow.
Hand Sign: Varuna Mudra (Water Mudra).
Refractive Echo: The user’s Cursed Energy becomes "liquid" and reflective. When an opponent attacks, the user refracts the attack. Physical and energy attacks slip off the user's skin as if they were coated in frictionless oil. If the user moves rhythmically, they create "after-images" that are actually solidified Cursed Energy, tricking the opponent’s senses.
Main weakness: This form requires "Mushin" (no-mind) to remain fluid. If the user feels a surge of strong emotion, fear, anger, or even sudden excitement, their Cursed Energy becomes "viscous" rather than liquid. This causes the "Refractive Echo" to fail, meaning the user takes the full force of an attack while in a physically vulnerable stance.
3. The Form of Fire: The Wrath of Kagutsuchi
Stance: Zenkutsu-dachi (Forward Stance). Aggressive, lunging forward with high tension.
Hand Sign: Agni Mudra (Fire Mudra).
Metabolic Combustion: This is not about breathing fire, but the "fire of the soul." The user’s Cursed Energy accelerates the vibration of atoms within anything they touch. A simple punch causes the target's internal moisture to flash-boil or their armor to melt instantly. The user’s own body temperature rises, making their strikes cauterize wounds on impact.
Main weakness: Since this is based on metabolic acceleration, it is an internal fire. Using this form for more than 1 minute begins to cook the user’s own cells. After deactivating the form, the user often suffers from severe dehydration, heatstroke, and other related stuff leaving them physically drained and unable to use cursed energy effectively for several minutes.
4. The Form of Wind: The Breath of Fujin
Stance: Neko-ashi-dachi (Cat Stance). Weight on the back foot, front heel raised, ready for instant, light movement.
Hand Sign: Vayu Mudra (Air mudra).
Vacuum Severance: The user manipulates the "emptiness" (Sunyata) between objects. By "pushing" the air with Cursed Energy, they create zones of zero pressure. This allows the user to move at blinding speeds because there is no air resistance. Offensively, they can "flick" their fingers to create invisible ribbons of vacuum that cut through reinforced concrete like a high-pressure water jet.
Main weakness: By creating a vacuum around themselves to move at high speeds, the user inadvertently removes the medium through which sound travels. In this form, the user is completely deaf. Furthermore, the lack of air pressure can cause the user’s own blood vessels to burst if they stay in the "Wind" state for too long, making it a high-speed glass-cannon mode.
5. The Form of Lightning: The Judgment of Takemikazuchi
Stance: Sanchin-dachi (Three Battles Stance). Toes turned inward, knees tensed, a stance of internal power and high electrical potential.
Hand Sign: Vajra Mudra (Lightning Mudra).
Synaptic Overdrive. This form focuses on the electrical impulses of the nervous system. The user infuses their Cursed Energy into the electromagnetism of the environment. They can "perceive" the electrical signals of an opponent's brain before they even move. When they strike, they discharge a massive surge of Cursed Energy that short-circuits the target's brain, causing temporary paralysis or involuntary muscle spasms.
Main weakness: To read the opponent’s nervous system or brain, the user must open their own nervous system to the environment. If the opponent is aware of this, they can "flood" the area with chaotic Cursed Energy or even literal electricity. This results in the user suffering the very paralysis they intended for their enemy, effectively "frying" their own Cursed Technique for the remainder of the battle.
Maximum Technique: The Void of Mahavairocana
By cycling through all five hand signs in rapid succession and ending in the Anjali Mudra (Prayer Hands), the user momentarily enters the void. For three seconds, they exist outside the laws of physics, incapable of being touched, yet able to strike with the combined properties of all five forms. It is the "Perfect Middle Way," though it leaves the user’s cursed energy exhausted afterward.
If anyone has criticisms please give it to me i will gladly take it.
And the user has to hold the stances to activate the form, and even after the form is activated, the user will still need to hold the stance and the hand sign. There are, however, multiple ways to continue fighting even while holding the stances. The user can use the heels of their hand, head and shoulders, as well as the forearm and elbows for striking. The user can also use Suri ashi (sliding movement) to move efficiently without breaking the stance.
