adding spoiler warning js to be safe

so I just finished watching spoke’s latest video (searching for 1,000 players who went missing), and I honestly feel mildly let down? after last episode’s cliffhanger w mapicc, I was honestly expecting a more emotionally charged or tense interaction between spoke and mapicc, especially because of all the build up since jamato p’s fake death. a lot of people in the fandom, including me, have built up a lot of expectations or theories on spoke’s future character direction— he’d grow more manipulative, more distant, more unaware of how similar he’s growing to ashwagg. and yess, it’s definitely still possible that spoke’s character will develop in this direction in the future. I just find myself growing impatient, and because his Null episodes are so action-oriented, there is not much time to build these emotional shifts. of course, witc jamato p back in the picture, this is subject to change.

of course, I appreciate the work going into every video, and i’m pretty sure the Null arc is almost over anyway. it just feels so repetitive and lacks emotional stakes, which I had unfortunately grown used to seeing when we had ash and leo for antagonists. null just feels so robotic and formulaic— run, get hunted, drop a random mystery book, repeat. maybe i’m too emotion-oriented when it comes to stories, but i’ve just found myseld bored. excited for the next episode!! but anyway what are y’all’s thoughts??
