Caro Quintero Trial

How do you guys think the trial of Rafa Caro Quintero is gonna play out

Particularly, due to the fact that the Camarena torture tapes were handed over to the his defence team being used as critical evidence against him

It’s set for March 8 2027 but the DOJ confirmed they weren’t gonna seek the death penalty

Personally, I think his defence are going to try to argue he was under the influence of Mexican govt officials + the 3 letter agency, and he was just following orders but it will just be ignored and he will be charged with Continuing Criminal Enterprise + other charges

Either way he’s gonna spend the rest of his life in a US prison
Maybe with his old pal in ADX Florence, they could start write letters together

I finished the show some weeks ago and really enjoyed the arcs and the unique characters
However, one aspect which I didn’t enjoy as much was the overwhelming plot armour at few points

In S2/S3, Pope robs 5 banks in broad daylight in the same day
After one or 2 banks wouldn’t the police be on their toes?
Have a description or at least warn other banks to close down or have a police presence
Pope casually walks in to give the stolen money to the investor

A similar situation happens again with Craig in S5/6
Craig robs multiple gas stations / shops in a day and has no repercussions
At one point a police officer is after him but he just gives up and lets him gets away very easily

Am I the only one who noticed this ?
