What do you say when asked about your hobbies?
I recently interviewed for a very entry level IT position, I dressed well, looked prepared and told them about all of my hobbies, interests and other things that are related to tech and were relevant to the job and made me sound like a good candidate. After all this though, they still asked me “what are your hobbies outside of school” I already explained all my hobbies that made sense to talk about and had nothing else really professional to say, so I said I like to go shop at record stores and go see live music with my friends sometimes. I didn’t get the job and my mom says that was unprofessional and i’m supposed to make something up that sounds better. is that good advice? I mean I already said all the professional stuff. How do you guys answer the “what are your hobbies” question?
