About us: M30 and F25, California
About our cats: Catrina, F2 (spayed), been with us almost 1.5 years, Freya (about 7mo F spayed), currently week 2.5 of a foster-to-adopt.
Catrina is the black cat in the video and Freya is the tuxedo. We got Catrina from an acquaintance who surrendered her to us and claims she was a stray (we’re not fully sure about that given her condition and general manners), and at least in her time with us has not been around other cats or animals. Freya we got working with a local cat shelter; she was picked up as a stray at 3mo and put up for adoption at 6mo. Both have seen a vet in the last month with no issues.
Recently we’ve started allowing them to interact with each other; this video was captured after almost a week of limited no barrier interaction. We’re not clear if this was just them having a play bout or closer to a full fight; we typically haven’t been allowing them to get this physical, but based on some of what we’ve read online, we’re getting concerned we’re breaking up healthy interactions.
