It doesn’t seem to matter what type or size I buy, or whether they’re washed or unwashed, every potato I’ve bought this autumn has a really hard vein through the middle that doesn’t soften up no matter how long I cook them. Are other people noticing this? Is there a particular reason it’s happening this year?
These were baby red royals bought yesterday with a recommended use by date of May 12.
