6 months missed loan & credit cards in UAE – will it affect banking job background check?
Hi everyone. I’ve been 6 months behind on a personal loan and credit cards in the UAE.
I resigned from my previous job then i joined real estate on commission, and I was very close to closing deals that would have solved my financial situation, but the market slowdown and recent events stopped everything.
Right now I’ve been trying to stay in contact with the bank via email, explaining that I’m willing to pay but currently unemployed and actively searching for a job in a difficult market.
I have an upcoming hiring process for a Relationship Officer role at Emirates NBD (outsourced). I’ve already started interviews.
My questions are:
Will they perform a credit score check and full background check?
My credit score is around 466. Will that automatically disqualify me?
Is there a chance they may ask for explanation instead of rejecting?
Has anyone been hired in a bank in the UAE with a similar credit situation?
I’m trying to understand what realistically happens in such cases before I proceed further.
