My mom (56) just went to a local clinic and found out her left ear has moderate to severe hearing loss and right ear is normal to mild hearing loss. They suggested to get Starkey Evolve AI 1000 RIC for her left ear for $1495

She paid the deposit already but I'm looking more into it and now realizing Costco is selling better hearing aids for half the price. I've heard the one we bought is entry level but the Costco one is premium. Does that mean the Costco one is always better and we should just return the Starkey one?

She was also thinking of buying both and see which one is better but I've heard it takes a long time to get used to the hearing aids, so is it bad to try 2 different HA at once?

For reference we live in the LA area.
