Traditional online post-Bach teaching program
Hey everyone,
I’m in the final stretch of my teaching cert at UMPI (Traditional Online track) and I’m looking for some advice.
I’m supposed to do my student teaching in the Spring, but I just noticed EDU 361 and 371 are only offered in the spring. I really don’t want to push my graduation back another full semester just for those.
Has anyone here successfully asked their advisor or the Ed Dept to take an extra class (or two) while doing their clinical practice?
A bit of context: I’m a non-traditional student (already have my Master's and I'm a working school counselor), so I’m used to the school environment and a heavy workload. I just need to know if the department actually grants these overrides or if they’re strict about the "no extra classes" rule
