Hi all! Hoping that my third attempt is the charm here, I've really appreciated all the feedback I've received so far and would love to hear everyone's thoughts:

Erin has always had a meticulous plan for her life set out before her and is determined to have it all; the husband, the family, and a successful career in law. All of this begins to fall apart when her husband Michael is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Now her performance at work is slipping, and her future family seems to be a pipe dream.

When Erin struggles to process Michael’s diagnosis, she seeks guidance at a support group for those left caring for loved ones. There she meets Katie, who is caring for her mother with Huntington’s disease and grappling with the knowledge that she may have inherited the illness. Katie’s reluctance to learn the truth leads her to avoid living her life, convinced that she would be wasting her time by committing to anything.

While Erin struggles to understand Katie’s lack of future planning, and Katie cannot comprehend Erin’s strict adherence to her life plan, the two soon become firm friends. Then, Erin is confronted with her own future when Michael suggests they try to start a family before it’s too late. Erin has never considered the possibility of raising children alone, is not even sure that this is something she wants, but finds the possibility of denying Michael’s last wish equally devastating. The pressure of the decision splinters the previously happy couple apart, and Erin finds herself in conflict with both him and her sister Carla, who believes she is crazy to consider giving in to his wishes.

Meanwhile Katie, inspired by Erin’s determination to face every speed bump head on, begins to wonder whether she is ready to embrace life after all. When she decides to move in with her mother to help care for her despite their strained relationship, she is faced with budding feelings for her new next door neighbour that she is not sure how to approach. Realising she has been holding herself back, she begins to consider whether to be tested for the Huntington’s gene and learn the truth, even if the knowledge could crush her.

I am seeking representation for THE TRUTH SEEKERS, a 62k word book club/literary fiction novel told in multiple POVs that will appeal to readers of X and X (still researching possible comps)
