Someone messaged me offering to buy stuff from my Amazon wish list. In the past, someone else offered that to me, showed me my entire list was bought, then cancelled it and made away with my content I had given him in exchange. It was traumatic, I was young and looking forward to all of that stuff. But it was all a scam.
When this new guy bought 12 items I was already shocked. But then they bought even more when I wasn't looking. Now I'm thinking they paid nearly $2k for all of that.
But I never received any of those items, I thought they would just slowly show up in my house one by one or in clusters, but nothing showed up to my door. It's now been almost 2 weeks and I've never experienced an order this delayed before so my mind had been racing.
The gifter had offered to be my sugar daddy with no intimacy expected just the occasional dinner date and video chats of me doing what he wants. Okay that sounds like a dream. But I wanted to make sure that these wish list gifts were real, that they were indeed heading to my house, but this man REFUSED to show me the order status?? Because that offended him and he wanted to show me a lesson?????
I had to beg him to send me proof. He sent me a very cropped up screenshot showing my name and city and the words "on the way" while also demanding intimate video chats. He already knew my full name and city so I figure it was an easy edit but I didn't press it. I've given him content as a thank you for the wishlist gifts, but I still had a nagging feeling. I wanted to ask for the full screenshot since that piece could've been AI or edited to look legit but I was walking on eggshells at this point and didn't want to upset him.
I asked him to send me money on cash app to prove his money was real to me. I mean, if he wants to be a sugar daddy then pay up, right? But nope. He refused to send me any real money.
So I decided to contact customer service to see if this was all real. I chat via text, got thru the AI to a human, and the human told me that the order was not paid for just reserved. Wtf?!??!!
So flip out on him. Called him all types of scammer. He is also flipping out on me, trying to prove he was real. But he sends me a screenshot of his empty Amazon shopping cart, to prove what the rep said wasn't true and items were indeed paid for. But I think he's an idiot at this point. He refused to send me any proof that this order was even happening. He said he hates being called something he's not so he's punishing me. Yo fuck that.
The next day, I tried again with customer service but I called. The rep told me the order will arrive June 14th due to shipping (from China I'm assuming). I asked them if the order could be cancelled and she adamantly said no.
So I'm now relieved, and I wanted to apologize to the guy, but he's long gone. Before all this he had asked me to list all my bills in a year so he can know how much money to give me in that time. He really wanted to spoil me I guess. So I'm super bummed.
But am I really bummed or am I relieved to be gone of such a shitty sugar daddy? He never gave me any cash. Just a hollow promise that he will take care of me but nothing ever beyond the Amazon wish list happened. I had rent to pay and he didn't even pay. So at this point I just think he was a drug dealer who couldn't open a bank account, not the investment banker he claimed to be.
I just really wanted to vent to the community since I've seen others do that and everyone's super kind on here. This industry is tough to stay in for sure, these instances being one of the reasons why it's so hard to trust these damn people! I drove this possible life -saver away from me but I was just trying to protect myself from disappointment. Plus. Amazon did not tell me the truth at first. So yeah, this is really shitty :(
But this also gives me hope that the next sugar daddy I encounter will be way better than that weirdo! 😭
