How to get started on horror games?
I'm very easily scared. The thing is, I love gaming way too much to let a whole genre pass under my radar. So I decided to buy the Amnesia Collection on my Switch. Needless to say, I haven't been able to get much into the games yet.
I'm a very fearful person and I'm easily spooked by horror in general, and video games are no exception. I have played a few stressful multiplayer horror games with friends and family to try and get used to the scary feeling (Phasmophobia, Lethal Company, Content Warning). It isn't truly working as even on those games I can sometimes throw my headset when I get too scared.
I'm asking y'all horror game lovers, and especially the ones who were very jumpy ones at first, how did you start? What made you less scared? Do y'all have any tips to give me?
