How much should I charge?
I work at a Goddard preschool, if your not familiar its a daycare center for rich people. Even though most of these families are loaded I get paid only $14 an hour as an (heavily experienced) assistant teacher.
I decided to offer babysitting services to some of the families in my class because I could use the extra money, so far one has reached back out.
They’re interested in me sitting their 2 kids, 3 and 7. How much should I charge? 😭 Ive never babysat before but I DONT wanna undervalue my ECE work and experience.
Also, going forward, how much should my rates be for 1 kid, or 2 kids under 3yo, etc etc? How do you guys decide on how much to charge?
Im thinking $20 an hour but Ive never done this before so IDK! 🤷🏽♀️
For extra context, I get along with their 3yo great (their kid loves engaging with me and told them how great their kid is, etc etc) and she got me some pricey teacher appreciation gifts!
