So basically it's like:
The more users C AI attracts, the more money it loses, because almost all of them use the service for free, while every message they send adds to the company's compute bill, so they have to either increase their income or make the free users leave the platform.
1)The pop-up ads
For free users: either leave the platform (a minority of users leave the platform so that the company can save some running costs)
or subscribe to c.ai+ (increase income)
2)The age verification
For users who are considered under 18: either leave the platform (the majority of users leave, saving the company more running costs)
or verify your age
3)Reading mode
For all users (I guess, because I haven't gotten it yet): either leave the platform
or find alternative ways to get rid of it
4)Deleting the relatively good AI model
For free users: either use pipsqueak 2/ meow/ nyan/ soft launch (the users leave so that the company can save running costs)
or subscribe to c.ai+ to use deepsqueak (which is a tolerable one, I guess) (and increase income)
So there may be more updates on C AI until there are only subscribed users using the chat bots
