Hey!
I ve applied for asylium with my wife in November 2023.We ve completed biometrics,photos and in october 2024 we ve received EAD cards valid for 5 years (until 2029).
Although,status has changed from pending to “next step is an interview “and we ve been waiting for it i guess until forever ,because we all know that interviews are taking so long even 10years..so i was good with it.
We obviously started working and other things.Got also ssn card.
And 04/30/26 i checked status and i felt like someone just stabbed me.
from waiting for interview it has changed to Aplication is closed.We have evidence and good case,but i was sure im gonna just wait for interview for years.
As long as im concerned that not means is denied but still feels weird.Im scared for my ead card and my status…
I also know Trump administration changed security checkups so.. i dont know.
I also emailed asylium chicago office about it and they only told me that i should receive mail about this.
we have an attorney so she is gonna work on it.
Anyone have same or similar situation in the past with chicago office ?
