I’m at my wits end with a mouse problem. We have sealed any entry points, keep pantry food in thick plastic or glass containers, don’t leave cat/human food out overnight, tried allll the cat safe essential oils that mice “don’t like”, and we’re now finding mouse droppings and pee on our counters and INSIDE our utensil drawers. It’s exhausting to wake up every morning and have to clear out the drawers, sanitize, hand wash everything, and repeat for the counters.

We live in the woods, have two cats, and a thriving owl/hawk population I’m terrified of harming since volunteering in wildlife rehab and seeing the effects of second hand poisonings.

My question is: Are there ANY proven baits/repellents/traps that will not cause harm to pets or surrounding wildlife?

I am hesitant to try to the “have a heart” traps, in fear the mice may have a secret entry way that we somehow missed when redoing the entire exterior of the house.

Any suggestions are appreciated, I researched online but want to hear from real people!
