I'm looking for a new guitar (I'm coming from a beginner's pack strat), and in my area there are no instrument shops with well-known brands or models that are particularly to my liking. And recently, an Epi G400 for $260 USD popped up near my area, and while I've seen and read good things about this model, I've never actually held one, so I don't know what to expect.
However, I was also looking at this Donner DJP1000 for $291 from their website, and from what I've read, it seems to be a very good price-quality instrument too, and previously, I had the opportunity to play an unbranded copy of a 335, so I can get a sense of what to expect in terms of its size and comfort.
Should I go for the Epi since it's a more well-known brand, or should I go for the Donner, which I like more visually but is a less well-known brand so there isn't as much information about it?
