Eczema recommendations
Hello!! My 6 month old has eczema in his cheeks since a month ago. It does not look like it is bothering him. He does not scratch his face when he is awake, and only rubs it when he wakes up, I am guessing to try and soothe himself.
I have been putting hydrating cream, cicaplast and a non-cortisone but cortisone-like cream for a long time.
3 days ago the doctor recommended we start putting a tiny amount of cortisone cream, but I saw no considerable improvement. Today she suggested doubling the amount.
He is breastfed, I give him half a bottle of formula at night and he is starting solids (fruit) but he does not eat more than 2 spoons yet (we started a couple of days ago).
I am so sad, because I think it took me too long to realise that this is something that won’t go away so fast, and I should have started with the mild creams earlier.
Any encouragement or advice on how to help him? I am just scared that it won’t go away. I also have ppd and I am consulting a specialist about it.
