I’m a soon to be BED grad and have been applying to boards OT lists, and at this point close to 40 private school postings. I’ve had a couple interviews that go well, and I’m told I did great; but they always end with being told they chose a more qualified candidate. As for the board OT lists the TDSB and DDSB have yet to get back to me after months, and being told my application would be reviewed. I’m assuming my teachable (English, history, soon to be ESL) just aren’t hireable as I have classmates who have received interviews very recently. I’d love to hear how other people are dealing with this and any advice going forward, it’s real tough out there.
