Boro Levi’s Denim Jacket – hand-stitched with sashiko. Stia Custom
Hi everyone,
This is my third post on the sub. Today I want to show you one of my projects — a Levi’s shirt reworked in Boro style with sashiko stitching.
I took my old Levi’s shirt and used patches cut from three pairs of jeans in different shades. I sewed the patches onto the shirt and then reinforced everything with sashiko stitches. Everything was done completely by hand, no sewing machine. It took a really long time, but I’m happy with the result.
I used two thread colors: beige and bronze.
In the end, the shirt became very dense and sturdy — it feels and looks more like an elongated jacket than a classic shirt now.
I’ve added photos of both the outside and the inside. I decided not to add any lining, as it would make the piece even heavier.
Hope you like it! Feel free to ask any questions — I’ll be happy to answer.
