Name of move that was on lifetime between the early 2000s
A man comes over to talk to a woman — they may have been friends, or possibly exes/ex-husband and ex-wife. While they’re talking, they get into an argument/fight in the kitchen. I remember the house being near a body of water, possibly a lake, visible from the backyard or kitchen area.
While the adults are distracted arguing, the woman’s young son wanders outside into the backyard, falls into the water, and drowns. When the adults realize he’s missing, they find him in the lake. From what I remember, the movie ends shortly after this scene.
I also vaguely remember the male actor being Kevin Bacon, but I could absolutely be mixing him up with another actor from that era.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I’m open to any suggestions because this scene has been stuck in my head for years. And seen this in tv in the early 2000s
