[Online] [Other] [EST] [Thursday Night] Custom TTRPG Campaign Inspired by Bloodborne & Lies of P

Hey, I’m starting a new campaign on Thursday nights at 9 PM EST. Sessions usually run around 3-4 hours with a short 10 minute break in the middle.

This is technically built from the bones of 5e, but it really is its own thing at this point. You do NOT need to learn a huge new system. If you can read a 5e monster stat block and bring dice, you can play.

The game is part of a custom TTRPG system I’m currently developing. Instead of traditional 5e classes and subclasses, character creation is much more freeform. You and I would sit down together and build your abilities, powers, fighting style, and progression from scratch.

Your “character sheet” is essentially a modified monster stat block. Leveling is ability-based rather than class-based, so instead of picking from preset subclass trees, you evolve your character organically over time by gaining new abilities or improving existing ones.

The setting is heavily inspired by Bloodborne and Lies of P, with a gothic-industrial Belle Époque style world. Expect towering cities, strange technology, political tension, unnatural creatures, philosophical themes, and a world that feels elegant while also slightly broken.

Magic exists, but not in the traditional “spell slot/fireball” sense. Supernatural abilities are handled differently and are tied closely into the worldbuilding and custom mechanics.

A couple important things:

This is NOT standard 5e.

Roleplay is a major focus.

The group is intentionally small. It’ll just be me and two existing players plus one new player.

Combat encounters are entirely homebrew and balanced around the custom system.

Since the enemies are original, there’s really no metagaming monster knowledge.

Also, the current group are close friends, and ideally we’d like to bring in another friend, not just someone who silently appears for sessions and vanishes afterward. You don’t need to be super social, but talking occasionally in general chat and vibing with the group matters.

If this sounds interesting, send me a message and we can talk/interview and see if you’d fit the group.
