alright guys. so earlier this week I posted asking about tuning my snare. most people pointed to my drum head being the problem. so I fixed that.

I received multiple recommendations, but by a landslide, the Evans Genera HD Dry was the most recommended head for the worship snare sound I'm going for

I am now using a 14 inch snare with the Evans Genera HD Dry batter head, Evans 300 reso, PureSound 20-strand snare wires.

overall I actually quite like the sound of the drum, but there's a NASTY overtone/ringing after the original crack. when I say nasty, I mean unbearable and goes on for wayy too long.

Resonant head is tuned to about 400hz. I'm still messing around with the batter head, but it's currently sitting around 230.

does anyone have any suggestions? in my last post, you guys shared some amazing tuning videos for me to watch, and I learned a lot, but this ring is still horrible. I have Moongel and Evans EQ pads, both of which fix the issue, but then the drum sounds too short. I'd like to get rid of some of that ring/overtone without the gels, if at all possible

any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏🥁

feel free to disagree, but Google messages design team needs to get fired. they keep changing the read receipts design over and over again.

just pick one. and I would much rather have the messages say "sent, delivered, read"

Google please, pick a design, stick with it.

I'm not sure how much more of this I can take. I'm on One UI 8.5 beta 3. 8.5 has drastically improved performance and heating. it almost never lags or gets hot anymore and it's a great experience overall. I love this phone and OneUI

but the battery is horrible. it's 9:00 PM (21:00) at night and I've charged my phone multiple times today. nothing crazy shows in app usage, and I haven't even hit 3 hours SOT today, but ive charged it twice. this is unbelievable, and I'm not sure what else to do

I've tried resets. didn't download any backups, but set up as a new phone. and I can't keep doing that.

the problem is, I don't want an iPhone, and many chinese phones can't be used here. but I also don't wanna leave Samsung because I love my phone. but this battery is unbelievably bad. so bad that I can't count on the phone to be there for me in an emergency
