To clarify, im talking about the applied statuses in battle, not the passive genes. Do they boost the power of elemental attacks further than regular attack up would? Are you meant to use them in conjunction with regular attack up? Is the fact that they aren’t removed when the enemy applies “attack down“ to your monstie their main utility?

I’m just wondering whether abnormal statuses like Almudron’s water trap or Red Khezu’s lightning trap would scale with damage based on the monstie‘s attack with that element.
