So, I'm not exactly a fan of how Bronya has been seemingly becoming more stupid and clumsy in her interactions with Seele.

Since the ending of Part 1 at least, the game has been trying to make Seele look more mature and capable. In Part 1.5, it was done by showing how Veliona is dependent on her and also making Seele speak in an unusually calm and emotionless manner. This time, it seems the idea is to turn Bronya into an idiot.

It's far from the first time we've seen making one character look stupid to make someone else look better, cooler or w/e. We previously had Mei making a fool of herself to make Adam look good, Kiana making a fool of herself to make... many characters really, but most recently Coralie, look good. For Kiana, it is actually her normal state, though it still did get somewhat worse with time, but Bronya didn't use to be this pathetic. She was earlier shown to fail a lot at game development for example, but that's a very different thing and now Bronya's incompetence was extended even to simple housework. I'd prefer it if "loser Bronya gets scolded by scary Seele" doesn't become the new overused running gag.
