I have been using Saf Instant Yeast for years and years. No problems. Then I thought I would try their other yeast Red Star Active Dry Yeast. Nothing was working well.

Then I noticed the title of the yeast: Active not instant. Oh... I was not blooming this yeast which you need to do. You would think that after making bread almost each week for 40+ years I would have noticed.

So do make sure you use the right method for the yeast you are using.

Awful quiet in the women's team news. I know that the team is solid as is but would be interesting to see if anyone else comes to the team
