Hello there, Blender begginer here.

I have started my own personal project on new years. after 3 months of learning blender, I more or less have the first version of my character.

My problem is, I cant manage to get the hair done right. I have been trying this for a month now.

I can manage to get it good looking more or less, but since I only can manange with the curve method it has terrible topology, that i cant use for a game.

I have tried to make an uniform mesh on top, and try to tie each strand to it, but its become way too hard and tedious for me.

I feel like im doing something wrong, but I also want voluminous layered hair (see back) so just doing extruding planes also seems wrong to me (and my attempts look even worse than this)

Do you all have tips on how to do this? Or should I focus on other things?
