First gel extension set! Felt shy before, fighting it now. Help needed!
Hey all! This is my first post here.
I wanted to share my first real foray into gel nail extensions. I've only tried a gel polish once before and, to be honest, as a guy, it made me feel a bit self-conscious. I decided to fight that feeling, so this is my first time going for some length!
This entire set was a DIY project at home with my girlfriend. We used builder gel to add length and we were aiming for an almond shape. However, after applying the color, the sides rounded out quite a bit into an oval shape. They aren't perfect in terms of shape, length, or curvature, but after 6 hours of work, I’m absolutely in love with them.
I'd love some feedback and tips on how to improve the technique and get a more precise shape next time.
