Hey r/notioncreators!
I use Notion with my team, and version history has always frustrated me. Notion has auto-save, but you can't commit at a meaningful point, leave a message, or easily see what changed between versions. This is especially painful in long documents.
So I built a Chrome extension called Notion Diff. It lets you:
- Commit snapshots at meaningful points with a message
- Tag releases and browse history
- Compare any two versions with a clear diff view — works with both VCS history and Notion's auto-save history
All history is stored in your own Notion database.
I launched it a little while ago, but haven't gotten much reaction yet. Maybe not many people use Notion with a team? I'm trying to figure out:
- Is this a pain point for other Notion creators or teams?
- Am I solving it in the right way, or is there a better approach?
- Any suggestions on how to get it in front of the right people?
Happy to share the link in the comments if anyone's curious. Would really appreciate any honest feedback from this community!
