Hi all, in preparation of our trip next week, I've managed to install Alipay, link my credit card, and go thru all the verification steps

However somehow my sister got stuck with her registration. There's a message about suspicious transaction (she hasn't transacted at all, just registered today), and there was an appeal button where she had to go thru liveness detection (touching forehead, cheek, etc), but it kept failing

And now the appeal button is gone. Is she stuck with this and doomed to have no Alipay forever? She's trying Wechatpay registration now

Hi all, I've been to China for short work trips, next week will be my first time for a long-ish trip (10 nights)

Planning to pack light and do laundry on day 6/7, and wanted to check others' experience regarding availability of self-service laundry in hotels. Since I didn't need it before, I never paid attention in my previous hotels. And no, the 'normal' hotel laundry charged per piece of clothing is not an option for our budget

Found a tiktok video that says self-service laundromats are available in a lot of hotels, but somehow I doubt it. That example was an Atour hotel in Chongqing

How's people's actual experience like? My backup plan is to find self-service laundromats outside, which at first glance from Amap search seem plenty (and I've seen them around during my previous trips)
