Are any of yall hypermobile? Had this changed the way you approach your KB training?

I’m still relatively new. Been swinging less than a year. Took me a while to find consistency.

Now I’m doing 2H swings with a 40# bell a few times a week and it feels like I’m getting better as far as my form and my breathing goes.

Problem is, when I try to do hand to hand swings, I can feel my elbow hyperextending a bit and if keep it under load for too long it gets uncomfortable. This is preventing me from trying to work on cleans with confidence.

As I’m getting older I’m realizing that being “double jointed” isn’t a funny body quirk but it actually leads to injury in unexpected ways. I get tennis elbow at work in the kitchen. I’ve got pretty bad TMJ, etc.

I’d love some perspective! Thanks in advance. I know I need to get stronger and strength will help with the mobility stuff, but I can’t afford to go see a trainer or a PT to figure these things out right now.
