My boyfriend is running a marathon this week and I'd like to support him not only with the basics but also maybe have some things in my bag that would be a nice surprise and come in handy.

What are the must-haves (weather is going to be 14*C/57*F and cloudy/perhaps some light rain)? And what have you found to be a nice thing to have in case of emergency or something that gives a nice boost (mentally or physically)?

He's going to give me a list of things to prepare, of course, but I just thought it would be nice to do some research and have something a little extra.
