Got accepted for a Senior Data Engineer role but I am underqualified. How screwed am I?

I recently intw for a Senior Data Engineer role at a big company and the intw went surprisingly well. Most of my real hands-on experience is around Python, SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines.

The thing is, for some of the stack they use (advanced Spark internals, dbt-heavy workflows, large-scale Airflow architecture, Scala, deeper distributed systems topics), I understand the concepts well and can discuss them, but I haven’t worked on them myself.

If I get accepted, how screwed am I realistically?

Have any of you stepped into a “senior” data engineering role where you were strong on fundamentals and architecture thinking, but had to ramp up fast on parts of the stack? Did it work out fine or did you feel constantly behind?
